Seeing as democrats political stand against everything that happened on July the 4th 235 years ago. This is not surprising.
The Democrats want men to be slaves to the Government, they deny their right to assert their Independence either individually nor in regional groups. They instead support the government’s ability to impose what it wants upon the people.
July the 4th 1776 is certainly not a holiday for those who admire socialism or any form of statism. July the 4th 1776 is about the individual, Independence and freedom. Concepts at war with the needs of socialism and what liberals define as “equality” of outcomes.

It would be more appropriate for them to wait 10 days and celebrate Bastille Day, which started a bloody orgy of statism and socialism in France, and they’re still a bit hung over from it today....
