(CNSNews.com) – Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) met with other Republican senators on Wednesday to explain why they are pushing for a balanced budget amendment in their negotiations with Democrats over increasing the federal debt limit, which currently is $14.29 trillion, stressing that the primary “threat to our country is the national debt.”

At the Capitol, Paul said, “Our country is in grave danger. The number one threat to our country is the national debt.

“I firmly believe we will not ever surmount our fiscal problems until we amend the Constitution,” said Paul. “We must have a balanced budget amendment, and I hope the Democrats will join us.”

Listen, and understand. The Democrats are out there. They can't be bargained with. They can't be reasoned with. They do not feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And they absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead.

Nah. The number one threat is mass immigration from the Third World, which is changing the U.S. into a run down, corrupt thugocracy as the Americans are increasingly marginalized in their own country.

The debt is a direct consequence of that. Illiterates consume massive tax benefits; free trade agreements with third world countries are concluded because anti-American leftists would rather see them employed then Americans, thus creating more chronic unemployment; and of course the crown jewel, the non-Americans move to America so they can join the Socialist Party (the Democratic Party is what they call themselves) and vote to confiscate the wealth of Americans and put it into their own pockets.

The debt is just a result of that.

Obama is the number one threat. The "Deficit" is his "Weapon of Choice".

No, we do not need a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution. The amendment we DO need is one restricting the President and members of Congress to ONE term only. If re-election were not an issue, it’s likely we’d see far less corruption in our political system and members of Congress who were actually SERVING us, rather than playing Santa Claus.

Spending is the problem. Debt is just a symptom of the problem. Trying to cure the debt without curing the problem of spending is like going to the doctor about some nasty looking mole that is growing on your arm and your doctor tells you to wear a long sleeve shirt so it doesn't show.

If you go bankrupt and liquidate assets—you have nothing, including a country—hence he’s right on it.

Any passage of the Balanced Budget Amendment (assuming it can generate approval in Congress) would be down the road (assuming it could pass 38 state legislatures, which are not in session constantly).

The problem is HERE & NOW. If such passage is a tradeoff for extending the debt ceiling, then DeMint & his minions are traitors.

The OK Corral is coming in Aug. The Clantons (Obamas) plan to take away your Medicare, Social Security, VA benefits, welfare checks, and unemployment if the Earps (GOP) win.

So what is the Earps game plan? Perhaps they can say the following should be stopped before the first three: Salaries for all of executive and legislative branches of government, foreign aid, UN dues and support, NPR, Planned Parenthood, spotted owl surveys, etc. etc. etc. etc.

Wouldn’t that be cute?

Time to end all spending in foreign countries for protection, nation building, foreign aid, disasters, etc. Or do the candidates believe that only Americans should sacrifice?
