that would be honesty considered, the “norm”.
Israel was the OPPOSITE. it did NOT exist, for most of the past 1300 years. yet Jews believed, and made it happen.
we want the nations of the world governed by democracy. (and most of us here, wish also Christianity.)
they want the nations of the world governed by sharia, and Islam.
they believe their religion is the one true religion.
and they wish all to share in it. just as wish pray they would share ours.
the Pilgrims left their homes, to found a nation controlled by what they believed was the one true religion.
and the support of Obama, for the “arab spring” in Egypt and Libya, makes the chances of it, dangerously real for them. ...even if it is impossible, they WILL kill for it, or die trying.

We don’t force democracy down people’s throats; they either crave liberty, or they do not. The Muslims believe in conversion by the sword. The gulf between the two practices is enormous!
I suspect Muslims believed 9/11 would so shock the U.S.A., that we would immediately see that Islam was the only way, and mass convert. We didn’t cave, crumple, and convert.
I’m all for turning Mecca into a glass covered parking lot if another attack like that occurs. I know wealthy Saudis are supporting global terrorism.
Just so you know, I had a Top Secret Clearance and worked an intelligence desk for the U.S.Navy, covering the Med, North Africa, and the Middle East. I know the history of the region and understand the religion and the politics. That doesn’t mean I have to like them.
