CHARLESTON, S.C.Michele Bachmann downplayed tensions with Sarah Palin here Wednesday morning.
They want to see two girls come together and have a mud wrestling fight, the Minnesota congresswoman said. And Im not going to give it to em.
The first question at a morning rally came from a woman who wanted to know if media reports of divisions between the two tea party darlings are true.
She said she has great respect for Palin.
This race is wide open, Bachmann told the crowd of more than 200. We can accommodate all the candidates who want to come in. Were going to stick together, and were going to see this thing through.
"Darlings"? Seriously? I think it was a fitting and accurate answer considering the context in which the question was asked. However, I'd like to hear the question asked and her response before making a final judgement.
The MSM and late night dipsh*ts will have fun the next couple of days.
Yes. That's precisely what I thought of, too.
I'll bet they're working on it right now. It's only Wednesday. It'll be on this weekend. Someone's planned skit is going to be cut to make room for it.
I must be missing something, it seems like a good comment to moi.
Politico is merely another Soros-funded MSM outlet, like HuffPo and the mainstream media.
Everything is to deflect from Obama’s utter disasterous policies and take swipes at the Conservatives.
WELL, WHY NOT?
She's running for VP.
Diminish exactly. Girls/mud wrestling/sticking together? - what was she thinking as a candidate for the highest office in the land?

Well, so far, this thread is about 5:1 in favor of your opinion.

Yes, it is a true comment. Why is it wrong to tell the truth?
Why not? It's true. There definitely is a double standard in politics when it comes to conservative women and Bachmann is only pointing that out. It comes from the media, the left AND the right. I'm willing to bet that this thread will contain many sexist comments towards those two (married) women. No class.
Real men do not lust for or ogle married women.
The viewers would win. ....regardless of who came out on top.
There are lots of true statements that are, nonetheless, not appropriate for a candidate for President of the United States to utter.
There are a lot of true statements posted here at Free Republic that would not be helpful to us if they were repeated by Michele Bachmann, or Sarah Palin. Or Herman Cain, for that matter.
I used to donate to Bachmann until I tired of baing badgered by her “telemarketing hounds from hell” and I agree with Michele on 90% of the issues. But, the sad truth is that her resume is no thicker than Obama’s was in 2007 (no executive experience, less than five years in Congress, has never introduced a bill that became law and never even chaired a committee or sub-committee) plus six chiefs-of-staff in her first four years.
When someone asks you to name a Bachmann accomplishment (other than getting elected to Congress), you start looking for an exit line.
Bachmann wishes she could fight at all. Palin would have her tied into a pretzel in the first 10 seconds...
No.
There used to be a lot of “swoon” threads until the moderators got in the habit of deleting them.
The locker room mentality runs through both sexes.
