I wonder how of all the horrific & tragic murders out there, including others involving infants or small children, this particular one has grabbed the national media’s attention?

IMHO, the entire case was odd/strange from the beginning. A missing child, an unknown babysitter, and then it got even weirder. The “dance” pictures that came out and the smell from the car. I guess it has all the aspects of a good novel: mystery, sex, dysfunctional family, unknown father of child, etc... I remember initially praying for the safe return of this little girl and then seeing the photos of her dancing, drunk Mother and thinking, “the child is dead”. Just a thought.
That’s a good question- I ask myself that too. I live about 10 miles from the Anthony house- so I’m local- but it’s such an odd case anyway.
Among other things remains the probability that no one will ever know what really happened. Other reasons for fascination= 31 days of silence from Casey; what she was doing during that time; the remains found within 1/2 mile of her house; no one knows who Caylee’s father is...
