To: blam

I went to town at 8AM this morning and was amazed at how empty the streets are. I guess if nobody has jobs, there’s no point in wasting gas at more than $3.50 a gallon.

I don’t know what this economy is receding from. It never came back as far as I’m concerned. It’s been flat. If we’re now receding from that flat level it’s going to get ugly-ugly.

Atlanta had massive traffic jams on the Interstates and major thoroughfares every weekday morning (except Friday) until 2008. Now, the traffic reporters at the TV and radio stations usually have no tie-ups to report, unless GDOT has closed lanes for repair work.
