Bachmann has also lied about the family farm, of which she and her husband own a part of, but which she keeps claiming is her f-i-l's.
Telling the truth would be better and easy to then brush off the "hypocrite" cry, should it come to that. Lying, OTOH, just make her look really bad, when the facts come out.
Yeah this is a simple MSM driveby, and looks something they’re throwing against the wall hoping it sticks.
But her weakness in making questionable categorical statements bothers me some too.
Recently didn’t she say she was from John Wayne’s Iowa hometown? (Standing, moment of silence, resuming seat.)
You never let the truth stand in the way of a good story when spinning a yarn with friends but at the same time you don’t embellish a material fact in public, even if it’s arguable that anyone is really relying on it. You leave yourself open to your enemies. She has made quite a few of these mistakes, uh, or been possessed of a state of mind not in accord with the facts. Veracity challenged or whatever the problem, she should, to use a hillbilly espression, `chew over her thoughts before spitting them out.’ The talking heads will run a gaffe at 8:00 AM, noon, 6:00 and 11:00 PM.
Nobody’s watching, but it doesn’t help her.
"Bachmann has also lied about the family farm, of which she and her husband own a part of, but which she keeps claiming is her [father-in-law's)
Look, Marcus Bachmann's father DIED two years ago, so are you saying Michelle is claiming the farm is OWNED BY A DEAD MAN??? It would be normal for her to refer to the farm as her "father-in-law's" since she never lived there, but Marcus' father did, and for a long time......Michelle's husband inherited it, it is nonetheless ACCURATE to refer to it as her father-in-law's farm.
Are you getting your info from Michael ISAKOFF or someone even more stupid and ignorant?
Would you please post the links to the interview where the questions were asked and the replies given.
Complete so we don’t have out of context problems.
Also the financial statemtns that reference farm income.
Contrary to the article claims*, Bachmann was specifically asked by Wallace about the $30K in State/Federal Funds and she answered the question on that point, and truthfully as confirmed by this NBC piece.
It was a specific question from Wallace and she answered it specifically. See the onscreen graphic or review the video at the link above.
