Alaskan is a welfare state. Every Alaskan receives around $7,000 per year from the oil companies.
Palin had a %88 favorable rating before her nomination as VP.
Then she was trashed and had to resign because of all the investigations.
Joe Miller lost his Senate race in 2010 because Palin endorsed him in Alaska. Murkowski then ran against Palin and Miller. People turned out to vote against "the Palin candidate".
Palin would not be able to win her home state much like Al Gore in 2000.
Palin fans don't want to hear this because they don't care about the future of the country. They just want to start a fanclub.

Joe Miller also had the distinction of being a horrible candidate all by himself. I like Miller, but he made so many gaffes that he simply could not overcome.
For one, the establishment controls politics in Alaska. That’s just the way it is. Occasionally an insurgent can win, but there is a reason Alaska generally has long-serving Senators and Reps. despite being so young as a state. The only way this can be overcome is by an effective campaign, which Palin has proven herself more than capable of running.

How right you are.. Ah well, lets just ignore polls and trends all around and go with the groupthink.

Really. Who won the primary in Alaska, Joe or Lisa? What happened after that.
If you want to be taken serious - post the facts. You probably are pleased about the outcome - so you don’t post what really went down. You can only fool the uninformed - like the media does daily.

Murkowski then ran against Palin and Miller. People turned out to vote against "the Palin candidate". You make that sound so clear-cut, but IIRC, it wasn't. Even the recount was shaky and some rules were ignored (like spelling names right).
