A new statewide survey in Alaska shows President Obama beating Sarah Palin in her home state in a head-to-head matchup. Continue Reading
The poll, by Hayes Research Group, had a sample size of 500 likely voters and a 4.4-point margin-of-error.
Still, it showed Obama's support as stronger than Palin's in a horserace.
Some 34 percent said they felt "strong" in backing Obama, while 6 percent were "not so strong," and 2 percent were undecided but leaning toward him.
Palin, Alaska's former governor and the Republican vice presidential nominee in 2008, had 25 percent of likely voters saying they felt "strong" about supporting her, while 6 percent were "not so strong," and 5 percent were unsure but leaning toward her.
Still, there were a large number of undecided voters in the survey, with 7 percent saying they'd support another candidate, and 16 percent saying they remained undecided.

This is all a part of the MSM narrative to keep Sarah out of the race. Like it or not, the media has been pushing Bachman because they see her as the weaker candidate & the buffer that will keep Sarah from running.
You make that sound so clear-cut, but IIRC, it wasn't. Even the recount was shaky and some rules were ignored (like spelling names right).

Actually, if she doesn't run, she has spent the time and effort (read: money) of a sizeable fraction of the MSM in attracting their speculation and vitriol. At a minimum, she has been drawing fire away from the committed candidates.

Expect to see Marine Le Pen as the next president of France...
Palin/Bachmann or Bachmann/Palin...
The fur will be flying like this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5A-EkV3pGJ8
I can’t see France actually electing a Le Pen...
France is going to explode...
They are really tired of the Muslims and FN is the only party who will actually throw them all out of France...
I see Marine Le Pen as the first French leader since Joan of Arc...
And, the general public in France does not like Obama or Sarkozy’s cuddly relationship with him...
Strauss-Kahn is out of the mix as the socialist candidate...
So, guess who that leaves?

Hard part is she was on a ticket that lost those. Nevada is hardly red anymore, it’s a fairly solid blue. She’ll probably get Florida, but Virginia is far from certain as well.
