I'll tell you what is disheartening right now is all of these "Who's running for President threads" are permeated with folks casting aspersions upon each others hope for a nominee.

I don't really have a dog in this hunt, as the Republican Party left me when the US Senate refused to have a real trial for Clinton. I figured out I didn't need to be in the "party" to vote for their choice, especially when voting for the lessor or two evils as has been the case for a couple of decades now.

But I do recognize the GOP needs to not only get their Presidential candidate right, they need to get a super majority in the Senate and add some more house seats if we have any chance of saving this republic. I don't hold much hope or faith that will happen as there are far too many of the "old guard" Republicans still in office.

But you are correct in the impossibility of finding the perfect candidate.
