(JTA) -- Iran reportedly tested medium- and long-range missiles that are capable of reaching Israel and U.S. bases.
Tuesday's firing of the missiles came on the second day of the Revolutionary Guards' war games.
The day before, Iran's military displayed on national television underground missile silos programmed to hit predetermined targets with medium- and long-range missiles, including Israel and U.S. bases in the Middle East, in the event of an attack.
Gen. Amir Ali Hajizadeh, commander of the Revolutionary Guards Air Force, told the English-language semi-official Iranian news service Fars that the United States and Israel were Iran's only enemies, "and other than that we are not threatened by any nation. Our missile range is designed according to the location of the American bases in the region and that of the Zionist regime."
Hajizadeh called the war games, code-named "Great Prophet 6," a "message of peace and friendship to countries of the region."
Run silent.
Run deep.
Do it you dumbazzes!!
I wonder if “Great Prophet 6” can foretell when Iran will become a “glass parking lot”?
Oh, never mind them and their nuclear tipped missles. They are for scientific research purposes.
Now, let’s go get Libya. That country right there is dangerous and has a dictator.
An attack on Israel would be a death wish.
And, when you’re dealing with Muslims, that may be the desired outcome.
That is the general idea. They worship death, as long as it brings back the 12th Imam, it's all good.
Thanks Nachum. I take this seriously, but “we tested missiles” news from Iran is generally dubious.
In my view Obama and NATO made a huge strategic blunder by attacking the sovereign nation of Libya and trying to take out Ghaddafi, especially after he announced to George Bush that he was giving up his nuclear ambitions and wanted to normalize relations. Wasn’t it the British who outrageously released the Lockerbie bomber as a concession so that BP could then make an oil deal, but the deal left out most of the Libyan people and they got pxssed.
While we don’t invade countries with nukes, we do recklessly invade those who don’t. What message does that send to other countries without nukes? The message is clear to Iran and others. It says you need nukes if you want immunity from being attacked by NATO or the USA.
We attacked Libya because armed rebels were attacking government leadership and the government was responding in kind with force. Clinton said it would be a massacre.
Huh? What do you think would happen in the USA if a rebel militia force took up arms against the government? Hillary, I think it goes without saying it would be a massacre. That’s typically what happens in civil wars. Would it surprise any of you if this was a set up to create turmoil on Libya and thus give us an excuse to attack?
Nachum...A sidebar comment. While you post many opinions and articles here you rarely if ever bother to respond. Why?
No mystery there. I am really busy! I run a busines, my website (nachumlist.com), my family and try to post articles of interest here.
As far as opinion, I have been posting on FR for many years. I have commented on subjects ranging from Klinton to Religion and try to stay away from flame outs with my fellow FReepers. I have felt that my opinions are fairly transparent at this point and probably redundant and boring.
I find that much of the comments directed at me on a post are more for public consumption than inviting my own babbling. I can ramble on with the best of them, I assure you.
After this much time, I am very much interested in getting information out. I am also interested getting this fraud in chief out of office.
