The John Wayne thing makes her look like she is dumb...fire her staff that cant follow the Google search ...but wait shes an Iowan herself an oughta know better...just sayin
I guess I missed whatever it is that you are talking about. What John Wayne thing?
I assume this was in response to my comment about "Just sayin'"
And I will own it and others are saying it too!
If so, other examples of irritants were the wide spread use of "myself" when "me" was the grammatically correct word. Some jock on TV used myself incorrectly and soon everyone was using it incorrectly. Another which is unfortunately still widespread is "Each and every .... " That is an obvious redundancy. Say either Each or say Every. They mean the same so why use both?
Now we have Just sayin' . I consider it a copout. We know you are saying it so why tell us you are? Do you have another meaning than the one expressed? If so, why did you say what you said instead of what you meant.
Just sayin'.
See how stupid that is?
Wow! First of all, people who live in glass houses should not throw stones. Were is a different word altogether front where...learn when to use it properly. Secondly, yes you did miss the John Wayne thing, so try keeping up with lighting speed internet thing and not fretting so much over the colloquialisms!
Incorrectly attributing the hometown of John Wayne , actor, to that of John Wayne GACY, mass murdering clown, is a pretty big gaffe, especially for a native Iowan!
The mind numb thing fits!
She said she was born in Waterloo, Iowa, and wanted to restore the American Spirit of Waterloo's most famous resident John Wayne.
She was thinking of THE John Wayne, born in Winterset, Iowa, who never lived in Waterloo.
Waterloo's most famous resident was John Wayne
Politics 101: never associate yourself with an evil clown
