FBI swoops down on offices, homes of Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price and associates
Dallas Morning News ^ | June 27, 2011 | Staff reports

FBI agents armed with federal search warrants swarmed the homes and offices of Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price, his top assistant and a political consultant Monday.

Agents were seen coming and going and searching vehicles at the county administration offices in the Texas Schoolbook Depository, at Price’s home in Oak Cliff and several other locations.

Price’s attorney, Billy Ravkind, released copies of search warrants issued for the commissioner’s person and two vehicles — but not copies of other warrants for his home and office.

The warrants said agents sought all electronic data from 2001 to the present related to alleged violations of federal charges ranging from bribery and tax evasion to money laundering and structuring of transactions to evade reporting requirements.

Speaking at his attorney’s office, Price said he did not know what the investigation is about.

Here's a few more in the troupe:

First, we have the three-phase trio:

full phase 1/3 phase 2/3 phase

Next, a little fellow who just can't seem to make his mind up about the color of his shirt:

De Colores

And then there's this guy, who always has to be out of step with the rest of the crowd - I like to call him my little ray of reverse racism:

Reverse racism

I suspect JWP wanted someone corruptible as head of the Dallas County elections.

Sherbet always struck me as a stand-up guy. I wonder if he is helping the FBI?

I would think that is a given.... I remember that race baiting jackass holding up traffic as he tippy toed across the street down by Parkland hospital. I wonder if he will tippy toe around the big house like that?

From former Dallas reporter Ruben Navarette:

(facebook posting yesterday)
This just in: My sources in Dallas, TX tell me that there are not one but two sh** storms on the horizon involving local and prominent African-American officials. The first has already been reported — the FBI raid of the office of longtime Co. Commissioner John Wiley Price. But wait until you hear about the second one. Wow! God, sometimes, I miss Texas! For a columnist, it’s the gift that keeps on giving.)

(facebook posting this morning)
Can’t say. It’s not confirmed yet. But I have it from a reliable source that there is more to come...

The first time I heard the phrase “No Justice, No Peace” was from JWP during his earlier community organizing days.
Well he is getting his justice and I am getting my peace!

Jim Schutze, formerly of the Dallas Times Herald, has been tracking JWP for a while now. You can find him in http://www.dallasobserver.com and its blogs, ex:
