That is the GAU-8 used on the A-10 and the Goalkeeper CIWS. Phalanx uses either a discarding sabot tungsten round or if you really want to mess up the joint a High-Explosive incendiary tracer round. The navy mounts usually don't stock the latter, but for a special occasion why not bring out the fireworks.
