“President Barack Obama made his first direct foray into the deficit negotiations Monday. He met with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in the Oval Office for about 30 minutes Monday morning ... “
And that 30 minutes is the absolute limit of Obama’s attention span. (Drugs will do that to you).

President Barack Obama made his first direct foray into the deficit negotiations Monday. He met with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in the Oval Office for about 30 minutes Monday morning ... Thanks for clearing up the time line. It looks like he might have gotten 65 minutes of actual work done between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm. Here's the official schedule from the White House:
9:50 AM
The President receives the Presidential Daily Briefing
10:30 AM
The President and the Vice President meet with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid
1:35 PM
The President welcomes the MLS champion Colorado Rapids to the White House
5:00 PM
The President and the Vice President meet with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell
