Staff? It’s very hard to understand how anyone would confuse Gacy and John Wayne.

The most charitable explanation is just that she mistakenly believed John Wayne was from her home town as opposed to his real Iowa town. I gather she hasn’t lived in Iowa in a long time.

And John Wayne only lived in Iowa until he was 3 or 4, he moved to California when he was a little kid. It was dumb, but a lot of us got a laugh, while the media wants blood.
