May I make a slight correction to your post? I bet they’d let you be if you pulled out a 9mm, or larger caliber, in response to their intimidation.

Moving up to a larger caliber seems about right to me as I moved up from a bersa 380 to a bersa 40sw ultra compact recently.
The only things more effective on a mob then hi cap magazines is a 12 ga pump with 4 buck unless one has access to a machine gun. Where are those street sweapers when you need one.
High capacity crowds deserve high capacity magazines.
