Another example of environmentalists screwing up the environment.

Down in my neck of the hills recently there was a wolf/coyote that attacked a child. Sorry I do not have a link. The wolf/coyote was killed by the mother of the child with a shotgun. Child = food for these predators. There may have to be a hunt for these predators, in my neck of the hills, should a child be lost.

The Democrats/liberals could care less about elk and wolves. They just want all those rifles gone. People with rifles make it hard to impose your will on others because you’re just so darn smart and good.

The article is so poorly written it is hard to figure out who is doing what to whom. From what it said:

1) Congress delisted wolves from the endangered species act in parts of the west.

2) The RMEF (I can’t help but read that as “REMF”, a military term for “rear echelon mother-f*****”), objects, because they say this will interfere with the ability of States to manage their wolves. Huh?

3) “An unfavorable ruling may stop wolf hunts...” And what would an unfavorable ruling be? Against delisting or State management or what?

4) “At least two groups filed a second motion asking the judge to reconsider.” Reconsider what? According to the article the judge hasn’t decided yet. And if he did, what would he be reconsidering?

WE have way too many wolves in Alaska, many GMU's are about devoid of moose due to the explosive growth of wolf populations with the lack of predator control.

Biggest problem facing sportsman are our corrupt politicals with their hands out for the wolf luver's money. The ones that call for wolf control are then targeted at election time. No joke, the politicals are very aware of the bucks the wolf luvers are ready to send their way.

Palin is one of the few that did all she was able to, to control wolf numbers when they got outta whack. I actually had wolves in my garbage cans along the side of my shed at 3am in morning last Nov. My nx door neighbor ran out in his driveway to kill a wolf that had his dog by the neck, sprayed blood all over the snow with 12 gage. Boy, I see wolves close up here at home, and the Elk Foundation needs to be proactive on this one for sure.

RMEF = The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation .

Judge Molloy was just big-footed by Congress on two, and probably three live court cases.

If Molloy declares the Green plaintiffs correct, we’ll see wolves re-listed – until Congress acts to change the law.

The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation filed a note it plans to appeal any decision that adversely affects a state's right to manage fully recovered wolf populations.

Better late than never. RMEF was on the wrong side of this issue for quite some time. They have since repented.

The management and control of the wolves should be in the hands of the states.

The green Communists are pushing the UN Agenda 21

From what I have heard about the number of young elk killed by the wolves in these western states I think that RMEF is anti-wolf.

They would be fighting for the states to control the number of wolves.

The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is not an bunch of environmental wackos.

That said the article is so poorly written that the facts of the case are hard to discern.

The leftist feely-touchy Idiocracy in full bloom.

There are several solid reasons why early settlers of the land wiped out the wolf populations.

Supporters of this tripe should be required to overnight, unarmed, with sleeping bag and tent in territory where they have been instrumental in re-establishing the wolf.

Bring the whole family!

“REMF”, a military term for “rear echelon mother-f*****”)

LOL

That is the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and I believe they are in favor of reducing the wolf population (they historically have been a very hunter friendly group).

“Better late than never. RMEF was on the wrong side of this issue for quite some time. They have since repented.”

“Reality” is even worse than “payback” in terms of ‘b*tch factor’, as the “politically astute class” at RMEF are discovering. Any member of RMEF could have told their organizational leadership that beasts will be beasts.

Sorry for my attitude, but my sympathy gland is not yet awake and fully functioning.

Hopefully , actions by Judge Molloy forces Congress to make further alterations of the Endangered Species Act .

Then repeal the whole mess in 2012.

Didn’t you forget to require that breakfast, lunch and dinner must (not ‘may’) be freshly fried bacon?

Just wonderin’

Most of the urban lefties have no clue. They believe in the Disneyland view of wildlife.

We recommend that the eco-lefties remember their little brass bells so that wolves and bears can find them faster.

You've got it backwards. There is a group of so called enviro nuts who are suing to stop the delisting of the wolves claiming that 7,300 or so wolves are needed. The group in this article is going to appeal the ruling if the ruling says congress doesn't have the right to delist wolves. They are fighting for the states right to manage their own wildlife without interference from the courts and radical enviro groups.

BTW, there is another article on FR right now about the group that is suing to over turn the delisting, don't have link but perhaps a search will do it for you.

Sorry for my attitude, but my sympathy gland is not yet awake and fully functioning.

While sympathy is not deserved we should welcome the money and organizational power they bring. Moreover, given their earlier support for wolf reintroduction they have some "moral cred" with the idiots who've backed Ted Turner's little misbegotten adventure. What we should be watching for is the fine hand of betrayal. They did it once, and could do so again.

Hence, I put more credence in the Friends of the Northern Yellowstone Elk Herd (FOTNYEH). This business with the tape worms in the introduced wolves is going to be a disaster for the better part of a century.
