Peshawar, 25 June 2011, General Manager of Pakistan railway has visited the Peshawar division office on Saturday. The G.M and I.G.P Railway visited through Khyber mail train from Lahore to Peshawar, which usually late three hours. The officer of Railway came on 9.40 at Peshawar cantt Railway station instead of 6.45 am on Saturday.

General Manager Saeed Akhter and I.G.P Railway Abu Hasnin has charge two month before and it was the first official visit of top management to Peshawar. On the arrival of GM and Police chief of Railway security were tighten because of security threat. More then 2 platoon police covered the area of Peshawar cantt railway station.

Talking to the media in Peshawar the General Manager Saeed Akhter admitted that Pakistan railway train are late and passenger are facing problem , he said that some railway track are not profitable for railway department , but we cannot stop the rail on that track because of strategic point. Like wise some track in Baluchistan are not profitable.

The General Manager Saeed Akhter said that last day we inaugurated the language scanning machine in Lahore and for more station we demand from the government for the security equipment. He also confirmed that government of Pakistan give more 30 billion bail out package to railway. Saeed Akhter also confirmed that in future railway management never closes the any train. He said that since 2 month Pakistan railway in good position and earning good.

The I.G.P Railway Abu Hasnin also talk with the media and said that railway police salary are below on the other security forces , that why we talk with prime minister and in coming month finance department will approve the increase of salary of railway police.

After the meeting with Railway Management the G.M Railway and I.G.P railway has also meet with Governors Khyber PukhtoonKhwa and I.G.P KPk and talk with them about the Railway trek security.
