It isn't really a "holier than thou" thing, it is a pure psychological thing. It is a personality disorder, it isn't related to religion or a teaching that they received, they merely rely on a vocabulary that sounds religious, and substantive.
I guess that’s true. If it wasn’t the Bible, they’d grab onto whatever else they could use/twist to fulfill their agenda.
