Lobster is currently $4.95/lb. in these parts. 36 G's would buy you quite a few boatloads of the crustaceans. But of course, Obama's "donors" are not paying for food - they're paying for influence.

This is, by my accounting, Obama's 30th fundraiser this year... and the election is still one-and-a-half years away. He's already got upwards of $750 million in the bank. Now, there is no way that any Presidential campaign operation could ever spend that much money. So what is he really trying to buy?
