Absolutely horrible. When you bring children up with no understanding of human dignity, do not be surprised when they treat human persons as objects. This has been true all throughout history and in all societies and cultures. One would think we humans would have learned this lesson over the thousands and thousands of years we have existed. We are such a perverse lot. We have always managed to discount our brethren as being subhuman, be the of a different race, or of a different stage of development, or of a different physical ability, or of a different social class, etc, etc. Somehow, we always manage to dishonor our origin and our creation and purpose, as a whole.
This is such a sad story. Lord, have mercy on us all. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need thy mercy. Amen.
