The Whistleblower may successfully sue, but the immediate impact may be to shut up other possible witnesses. Timing may be everything. The plaintiffs may win, but ATF defendents may skate in immediate future and any damages are paid by government.

That may be their intent; This guy sues under the whistleblower act, and then all the Obama admin clowns can use the Clinton-era "I can't comment on an ongoing investigation" excuse.
