Indonesia will suspend sending domestic helpers to Saudi Arabia after the beheading of a maid convicted of murdering her Saudi employer.
Migrant worker Ruyati binti Sapubi, 54, was executed after she was convicted of murdering her Saudi employer, Khairiya bint Hamid Mijlid, with a meat cleaver.
The maid carried out the killing after she was denied permission to leave the kingdom and return to her family in Indonesia, according to officials in Jakarta.

The saudis treat everyone as if they are slaves and these “maids” are essentially slaves, their passports are taken away, they cannot leave, Saudi is effectively one huge prison.
Somehow, I doubt that this statement captures her situation very well.
“The maid carried out the killing after she was denied permission to leave the kingdom and return to her family in Indonesia, according to officials in Jakarta.”
Poor gal! She lost her head over being unable to leave Arabia.
Do you really think the Indonesian government gives a rat’s a**
about the death of this maid? Indonesia is more than grateful the
Saudis don’t ban Indonesian Nationals from entering the country.
The rampant unemployment, poor economic conditions that have
workers from all over the MidEast clamoring to work in Saudi Arabia to earn subsistence level wages quarantees not much of anything is going change and if Indonesia has a problem with itt there are untold millions ready to take the risk.
I wonder what the now non-tax exempt organization CAIR would say about the fact that she was not allowed to leave - that she in essence became a slave of the Saudi?
The religion of peace that only finds peace upon death of the infidel or those who do not follow the true faith...
Don’t forget they can be raped at will with no recourse.
New song, variation of “I lost my heart in San Francisco.” I think you can guess the new lyrics.
Memo to self:
If your Indonesian slave-maid wants to go home, let her.
“The maid carried out the killing after she was denied permission to leave the kingdom and return to her family in Indonesia, according to officials in Jakarta.”
So I guess this wasn’t false imprisonment or kidnapping—thus not self defense.
You’d think CAIR would care and express their outrage.
I’m guessing pictures to see if she is innocent or guilty will not be available.
Indonesian government is pretty much corrupt the lower in the ranks you go. When people work for about $5 USD a day, the lure of big money working away from home is always irresistible. I have a friend that worked in Saudi when she was younger. She got busted being outside her 'compound' without a male escort. She was lucky because she was attached to a diplomatic operation at the time. In the end, she was deported and told never to return.
The horrors of islam....
Three cheers for RUYATI
