Republican presidential candidate Herman Cains appeal to many is that he is not like your typical politician and instead more of a straight-talking man of the people, as he likes to say himself. Rarely does Cain shy away from a controversial issue, and now he too is commenting on the Jon Stewart and Chris Wallace showdown, which has particular significance, since he himself was a focal point of that debate.
Cain reminds his audience of a prior statement he made that no bill is going to be longer than three pages. Stewart mocked this suggestion as an unrealistic fantasy, to which Cain responded:
Some of these idiotic reporters thought I was serious. The jokes on them. The message was short bills. Understandable bills. No its not literally going to be three pages. The executive summary will be three pages. But they want to jump all over me -- Jon Stewart.
Yet the most controversial part of Stewarts joke was the fact that Stewart imitated Cain using what many considered to be an Amos and Andy type of voice. Cain didnt comment previously on the incident since hes be campaigning and only first heard about it yesterday during a phone interview for Sean Hannitys radio show. Cain told Hannity:
First of all, if [Stewart] really thinks that Im serious about a bill only being three pages the jokes on him. And I said secondly, as far as him mocking me, look Ive been called every name in the book because Im a conservative, because Im black. Sticks and stone may break my bones, words are not going to hurt me. Read more at Mediaite.com

“Good for Cain calling this loser Jon Leibowitz out for his blatant racism. This canard that he is just a comedian and not a left wing activist is being challenged finally.”
Yep. Bring it on.
LOL! He's be campaignin', yo! :)
An appropriate mocking of Jon Stewart should be a caricature of his ethnic background since he mocked Cain’s race. If I were proficient in HTML I would post a picture of Mike Myers as Linda Richman in the Coffee Talk skit on SNL. Maybe someone else will do the honors.
Anyone that takes Stewart seriously should check themselves into the rehab to get their life/smarts back.
Obviously, Mr. Cain believes in the KISS principle - Keep It Simple Stupid!

That would be a majority of Americans under 35. Do we have room in the asylums for all of them?
“Do we have room in the asylums for all of them?”
You should see some of the comments at Stink Progress about this. Padded cells for all of them are needed...
I’m sparring with libs on another board right now about this. they are spinning themselves in to hypocrisy holes trying to justify this.
Libs HATE having the Race Card played on THEM, and they don’t know how to respond to it.
Jon Stewart has been an angry, bitter, sarcastic man ever since Anthony Weiner dumped him.
Cain is a black man who has stepped off the Democrat Plantation.
Since he is no longer a slave, racist jokes about him are perfectly acceptable, as long as they are DONE-WHILE-DEMOCRAT.
THINLY_VEILED_RACIST_PING!
“Im sparring with libs on another board right now about this. they are spinning themselves in to hypocrisy holes trying to justify this.
All to protect an extremely wealthy Weinercrat.
What this is REALLY telling us is that Herman Cain is making inroads with America’s blacks. He presents a 180 degree different picture of Obama.
And African-Americans are LISTENING....
This is dangerous for the Democrats, who are just realizing this, and since he is no longer serving drinks on the Master’s porch, he must be minimalized, denigrated and destroyed.

Very slowly, unfortunately. But I think he could change it into light-speed if he went before black audiences- hostile as they will likely be at first- and said the things that have to be said (that only he can really say), and deliberately challenged them on Obama’s colossal failures with black unemployment.
Kinda like Rev. Wright now attacking Obama- only with a brain and common sense.
Once a culture accepts the paradigm that someone else is responsible for their own success/failure, it is nearly impossible to change. The only way to change that paradigm is for *parents* (husband & wife) to raise their children in intact families under the axiom that they are personally responsible for their own success/failure. Asians are a good stereotypical example of this.
Yes, Stewart did pattern his accent after the Kingfish (Amos and Andy featured character). That show was funny and good natured both on radio (played by whites) and TV (played by blacks) but was considered demeaning by blacks, albeit somewhat retroactively.
I forget there are people who take Jon Stewart seriously. Clearly we need to raise the voting age.
