I assume that if the government arbitrarily took YOU into custody, and performed invasive medical procedures against your will, YOU would think it was okay?
I don;t think taxpayers should be made to pay up. Find the people who sponsored and passed the program and make them pay up personally!
To question the Obama administration timing, motivation and manipulation of this issue is not to question the merits of this issue itself.
There have been many injustices by the government in the past and there still are. Some actions of this administration certainly qualify. Some injustices are eventually remedied because it is the right thing to do, but some are exploited for political advantage.
Anyone who believes this administration does anything that isn’t part of their political agenda hasn’t been paying attention.
And anyone who believes this administration does anything related to race that isn’t part of the political agenda and their racist wealth redistribution agenda really hasn’t been paying attention.
