The founder/owner of Marion’s Piazza (Dayton OH pizza institution and yes it’s ‘piazza’) used to visit each store to personally collect the coins from the penny gumball machines. Bartenders were instructed to leave at least an inch of foam head on a pitcher i.e. one inch less liquid.

I’ll top that. My boss had employees wash the disposable plastic ice cream dishes and reuse them. One time I recall coming into work and finding plastic soda straws drying to be reused. I threw them away.

I was 16 and dumb. I should have reported him to the health authorities.
