I see this entire thing as a slow and painful surrender, done for political reasons and done in such a way to insure more U.S. casualties.
My son-in-law ships to Afghanistan within 23 days.... while much of his backup leaves.
As much as they think they can plot it out and plan it, it’s war and it’s unpredictable, I wouldn’t show my cards.
If it’s can be any comfort about your son-in-law, I recall a Private from basic training who’s dream was to be an Army Ranger, and I thank God for brave souls like that. I have out-grown mine, but bless them all as they serve this great country, the United States of America!
