DEVELOPING: A Marine reservist detained last week near the Pentagon has been linked through ballistics evidence to the 2010 shootings at several D.C.-area military buildings, sources familiar with the investigation tell Fox News.
Authorities are also trying to track down a vehicle that suspect Yonathan Melaku once owned, but has since sold.
Melaku was detained Friday after he was spotted carrying a suspicious backpack near the Pentagon containing what initially was feared to be bomb-making material. Authorities said the items were not explosive.

I remember the day it happened a reporter asked some spokesman/woman whether it may be connected to the other shootings. They said there was no connection. Whatever.
He is Muslim, but the news is not reporting that fact.

Great reporting! Eight paragraphs and only one paragraph even mentioned something “Islamic” when they stated the words “Al Qaeda” and “Taliban Rules” were in his personal notebook.
However, they were sure to mention he is a Marine! It’s those evil, former, military Patriots who are shooting up the world, NOT Islamic extremists!

One is left to assume that the authorities found said gun when they either searched his vehicle or his home....
I was curious to see if Fox would mention the words Muslim or Islam. As I expected, they refrained from doing so.
Nothing to see here. Move along. It’s not as if this is some kind of rednecked Christian militia type.

I believe it was reported he was Muslim in one or more of the Pentagon articles.
When I first saw this story it was much shorter and when posting they’d lengthened it.
Maybe they’ll report it when and if they get more info.

That’s possible but we don’t know that the reporters on this story knew for certain he’s a Muslim now do we?
After saying that I believe it should be reported if they have that info.
Well, if I work for the TSA, then I need to feel up everyone of them and their under aged children - unless of course he/she is wearing traditional Muslim/Islamic garb and carrying an AK-47! That person we should ignore, lest we give the appearance of being prejudiced or something!!
That “something” would be SMART, we don’t want to look SMART - it might offend someone. And that “someone” are the type people who need to be taught by NASA that they contributed greatly to space exploration by pioneering math models some years back when they still thought the world was flat!
