Rep. Darrell Issa (Calif.), who has repeatedly called for top Justice Department officials to be held accountable for the now-defunct operation, was given highly specific information about it at an April 2010 briefing, the sources said. Members of his staff also attended the session, which Issa and two other Republican congressmen had requested. In April 2010 Issa was a minority member, not the committee chair, and therefore knew that raising a stink at that time might have no other effect than to give time for the thugs at the ATF to cover their tracks.

Of course he was briefed, Gunrunner’s been around for a while. But did they tell Issa about Obama’s change to the program that allowed guns into Mexico?

horse hockey.
That Mr. Sources guy sure gets around.

So let me get this straight:
You cannot get any answers out of the ATF, now, under Subpeona, but a year ago, they offered all of this information freely.
And this comes from an anonymous source.
Riiiiiiight.
Good old WallPole. They can be counted on to lie, outright, every time.

A chief Republican critic of a controversial U.S. anti-gun-trafficking operation was briefed on ATFs Fast and Furious program last year and did not express any opposition, sources familiar with the classified briefing said Tuesday. So even it true ..if one Republican critic didn't say something at the time it make is all ok?...
The program was a dumb ass idea that was implemented and run even dumber to the point of criminal... at best people need to get canned or at worse get tossed in the can for a year or two

Mayhaps, was there a dead border patrol agent resulting from the use of one of these weapons known at the time? Was the actual truth and motive behind this program fully briefed to him? This is bullshit. Getting a briefing from liars amounts to complicity with the lies now, huh? F@ck them.

Government abuses like THIS are another reason why all Americans must now put our 2nd Amendment FIRST!!

Hmm....If my job is to ask Congress for funding for a particular project would I lay it out as "We're letting suspected drug traffickers get their hands on guns which we then figure are going into Mexico to be used in Narco-wars. We figure that some folks might get killed but, hey, it's all worth it in the end......right Congressman?"
I'm going to hazard a guess that the disclosure was more along the lines of "This program is for the purpose of tracking weapons we suspect are being sold to 'straw buyers'. So far we've tracked this many weapons and we need more funding to continue the success of this operation"

The Washington Post and anonymous sources go together like hay and horses . . .

And, after he was briefed, and checked out the data, he is going medieval on them.
What’s not to like?
This article is just an attempt to mis-direct public opinion.
DO pay attention to the man behind the White Hut curtain.
