Frankly I am just as tired of paying for the emergency care as I am for the other freebies.

I hear yas. In Dallas, at Parlkand nearly 90% of babies are born to illegals and we pay for that plus pay fo their entire lives from then on.

Legally( federal law) we are required to offer “emergency” are to everyone But we don’t need to offer years of follow up treatment.
It sounds cold hearted to say ONLY give emergency care to stablize a situation but we can’t afford more than that any longer and still give care to our legal citizens who need it.

I am not sure we have the stomach to do anything but if we wait any longer we are sunk

Something has to be done. No one is willing to tackle this problem and it has grown so big that it's crushing us.

How do you see this being corrected?

Who do you feel would try?
