I’m curious about whether the Border Patrol was instructed, like the gun dealers, to not interfere with F&F weapons being smuggled across the border. With all the border scanning technology, I’m stunned that they were able to get a Barrett 50-cal across.

Well, that begs the question: Either the technology isn't as effective as we were told, someone was asleep at the switch, or the order was given.

The S should HTF no matter which. But because the alleged safeguards were ordered to stand down on other levels, it is entirely concieveable that there were orders to ignore the traffic. Especially when one considers that without orders to not interfere in the F&F operation, there is a solid chance the investigations would get tangled up, which means DHS would have to be in on the op as well...
