The 'Gran Torino' gunman who opened fire on a group of mischievous teens in Brooklyn was hailed as a hero Monday... by the mother of an innocent bystander hit with shrapnel.
Larisa Kaprovskaya told the New York Daily News that accused shooter Thomas Dunikowski, 30, was just trying to protect their neighbourhood when he used his rifle.
Ms Kaprovskaya, 50, told the paper: 'He shot because he wants to protect us. I don't know what would have happened to us if he didn't try to protect us. I appreciate him'.

“Yeah, yeah. I blow a hole in yer face, then go inside. Sleep like a baby!”
Uh-Oh.
Don’t worry, Walt. We got your back.

“The ‘A Fistful of Dollars’ gunman who opened fire on a group of mischievous teens in Brooklyn was hailed as a hero Monday...
In a moment that echoes the Clint Eastwood film A Fistful of Dollars, the father-of-one had allegedly had enough of the youths, who were said to have been kicking cars and ripping open garbage bins, sort of like the Baxters and the Rojos in the movie.
Mr Dunikowski allegedly confronted the youngsters, where he got into a scuffle with one of them. He then returned to his house, where he allegedly opened fire from a window with a semi-automatic rifle. This was much like the scene where The Man With No Name guns down several men for insulting his mule.
The alleged shooting mirrors scenes from the hit film A Fistful of Dollars starring Clint Eastwood as The Man With No Name.
Clint looks from a coffin to see the Baxters being gunned down by the Rojos, as their mansion is burned.
In the hit film, Clint eventually kills all the Rojos, which leads one to wonder if Ms Kaprovskaya’s statements will result in the boys always shooting for the heart, just like Ramon Rojo did in the movie.
LoL!
GranTorino (((PING)))!
Nice car, nice gun. American steel.
“Mischievous teens”, it is now?
Don't make me ask again!
