NEW ORLEANS Republicans head into 2012 united in their disdain for an unpopular, Big Government-loving, internationalist president.
The name of that president: George W. Bush.
From Capitol Hill to the statehouses to the presidential primary, Republicans are turning their back on almost every important accomplishment of the Bush administration.

But he looked so hunky cutting brush at his ranch!
Ask yourself why Pelosi and the Democrats became the mob bosses during the Bush years.
Come on.
lol...
Think the NYT WASN'T trying to get her elected Speaker?
Do you think the NYT EVER tells the truth?
Oh I see, it was all the medias fault.
Right.
...Medicare Part B (Supplemental Medical Insurance) is financed 25 percent by user premiums and 75 percent by general federal revenues. Medicare Part D is the prescription drug benefit added in 2003. By 2015 the shares of total Medicare spending represented by Parts A, B, and D will be 41 percent, 36 percent, and 23 percent, respectively. Thus, the 2003 drug benefit law increased Medicare costs by almost one-third and is one of the most fiscally irresponsible laws ever passed by Congress. Also see Figure 3.3 on page 31.
As if they EVER reported anything positive about the man.
I’ve pointed out several times on this thread why his policies were immoral. Giving away free pills to granny while saddling future generations with the cost is a big one. Amnesty for illegals is another. Allowing Ted Kennedy to fashion education policy on the Federal level i.e NCLB, is disgusting. And on and on. And it is NOT “BDS” or hatred of Bush to point any of this out. Perhaps its eases your conscious to defend him by ascribing motives to those who attack his policies but that doesn’t change history - many of Bush’s policies were disastrous.
Medicare Part D is the biggest drain on the treasury in the history of the republic. Initiated by Bush. The fact you don’t even know this but consider the man a conservative is really shocking.
Bush is the Republican version of Jimmy Carter. Making Bush dissappear was a magic trick that needed to be performed. But if Rick Perry becomes the nominee, what’s the point?
(Not the first time you've done that, I might add. It's getting to be a habit with you).
Join the cause. LIVE conservatism! And have a lovely evening.
Hows that work?
Fighting words.
Did the Democrats make Clinton vanish? This is pure Leftist BS from the Politico, an arm of the WP.
Bush was better than a liberal president.
Well then ignore me. Please ignore me! And I’ll return the favor.
Where do you start??Grossly Mismanaged the two malingering wars he had going,His “Great Religion” Crapola (bringing those chitbags into this country by the 1000’s), trying to push Amnesty down our throats,He split the party and a lot of Republicans sat out 2006 Midterms and the 2008 Presidential with his Butt buddy Mexican loving Jaun McRoach carrying the banner ,in short GWB put the whammy on this country.
btw, you've read quite a bit of extra stuff into what I actually said, but I have read other opinions from yours regarding the cost of the prescription drug bill. (Note.....I have not defended it, nor said it was a conservative decision - nor have I said that all of Bush's decisions were conservative. Never said that. Never will).
In the real world hating Bush solves nothing. President Al Gore and President John Kerry are fortunately hypotheticals ...Hate Bush all you want but remember the alternatives.
Because eventually the public gets schooled enough to see through MSM lies a la finally understanding that going through 24,000 e-mails is beyond the pale.
But until the public (including conservatives) stop buying lies conservatives will continue to be ridiculed for being traitors to the cause or stupid or weak or bluebloods or RINO's etc. etc. etc. basically every trick that the commie media can come up with.
