NEW ORLEANS Republicans head into 2012 united in their disdain for an unpopular, Big Government-loving, internationalist president.
The name of that president: George W. Bush.
From Capitol Hill to the statehouses to the presidential primary, Republicans are turning their back on almost every important accomplishment of the Bush administration.

I wasn’t talking about 08. I was talking about the Bush disaster.
And I see that the Bush-bashers are on here in force as well. You’d think the man didn’t do anything right! Bless you and a few others on here who try to remind these people and still stick up for him!
Hey Ohio W Fan ... you’re not alone
A few things are becoming clear:
BSD (Bush Derangement Syndrome) is alive and well in Democrat Underground — and Free Republic
The most common strain of PSD is known as Palin Derangement Syndrome
The 2nd most common strain of PSD is the lesser-known, yet still virulent Perry Derangement Syndrome
Bush vanished from public voice while still in office. In the meantime leftists made mincemeat of him and the Republican party and conservatives went to sleep. Thanks Rove! You so brilliant.
“Pete Wehner, a top policy adviser in the Bush White House, said Republicans ought to be cautious about taking their rhetoric too far.
I worry that theres a temptation to denigrate government, that skepticism toward government becomes a sort of corrosive cynicism about government, said Wehner, noting that Washington can be a force for good on such matters as combating disease in Africa.”
Pete wehner The good that Government can do comes at the expense of the people. Individual rich and relatively poor, and the organizations they voluntarily support can do all the same things the U.S. goverment does with forced support.
The U.S. Federal Government has no business sticking its hands into our pocket in-order to give money to other people, let alone foreigners in a self-distinctive contenent.
Yes when given the power of goverment the potential for good is there along with the probability of bad. But it is a temptation no human can resist nor honestly weld. The Federal Government of the United States is simply TOO big and too powerful. That is too much power for any one man or group of men to weld.
It must be drastically cut down simply to enable us mere humans to correctly weld it. Do not be tempted by power, or fooled by the few supposed successes of this monster to ignore its massive and catastrophic failures.
Its present size nor organization is necessary for any of them success, but it is detrimental to its more broad based and essential success.
I’m not worried about it, myself, since the idiot cannot run again.
And true to form, GW Bush remained silent & never fought back or aggressively countered the lies even to this day, while a commie pig-n-chief 0dumb0 is now in the WH & further destroying our country, legacy of the "dignified" statesman GW Bush.
I hope you stocked up on incandescent light bulbs. Bush did that number on us, too.
Politicians are politicians, and the last good one we had in the White House was Ronald Reagan, IMO.

I used to think that too. I voted for Bush twice as governor and twice as President. I defended Bush all over the world, from Edinburgh to Macau, in 2000.
But then he allied with Kennedy and Reid, and almost pulled off something that would ensure leftist control of all 3 branches of government forever. The name of that abomination was amnesty. Obama has not come close to making it happen. That's why conservatives need to understand what GOP Presidential candidates want to do. Leftists seem to need a GOP POTUS to have any hope of passing amnesty.
Reagan also made the mistake of pushing amnesty, but he didn't know that Kennedy and company would swindle him in the enforcement that was supposed to be part of the deal. Bush, after seeing what happened after the first amnesty, should have known better. Furthermore, the number of aliens in Reagan's amnesty was about 3 million, while bush was about to give amnesty to tens of millions. What do you think 10s of millions of imported leftist voters would do to this nation?
Aren't you worried that the GOP will nominate somebody with some of the same problems this time?
I will always remember the positive things of his administration: No Child Left Behind, John Roberts & Samuel Alito (at a time when it is practically illegal to hire a white guy for anything), the right to bear arms confirmed by the Supreme Court for the first time in history, increase in child tax credits accompanied by income tax cuts, and the Partial Birth Abortion Ban.
There was a lot to dislike about GWB; the aforementioned are things that would have never happened with Gore or Kerry.
The only revealing part is that I only call you names, twit.
Thou shall not steal. Ten Commandments. You might have heard of them.
Still waiting on you finding the section in the bill that “privatized” Medicare.
That is properly spelled 'Bush-bots'. I see you lured a few here too to defend their man.
