This woman was really a case of Post Partnum depression.
Her bizzare family refused to follow through with mental health treatment that she had begun, especially anti psychotic depression medicine.

Her husband insisted she also Home school all the children AFTER she already had several breakdowns.

I really feel this woman, now no doubt having received help for her mental illness, will leave jail realizing what she did.

A horrible tragedy that did not need to happen.

I agree with you. IMO, it’s the husband who should have gone to jail. If you know the whole story, he was apparently a tyrant who kept impregnating her when she kept going into severe depressions with each pregnancy.

He never gave her a hand with the kids or the home schooling—just demanded that she do. It must have been a living hell for her.

“This woman was really a case of Post Partnum depression.”

No, it was the more severe diagnosis of Post Partum Psychosis. It has been proven that the dumping of hormones can, in rare cases, become so severe after childbirth, for months, that the mother can have a break with reality and be compelled to act in ways harmful to herself and children. Her husband did not get her the help she needed.

I don't care what your excuse is, you murder five kids you need to be put down.

This Freudian nonsense that treats people like machines excuses all kinds of horrific behavior. When you excuse and justify evil you wind up with a lot more of it.

This incident happened after school was out and the only child that was old enough for school was the oldest child. Therefore, this excuse to put homeschooling in a bad light is based on wrong facts.

She was under mental health care but the shrink refused to put her on haldol. She was sane enough to call 911 immediately after she did the deed where she planned it out and acted in the hour between her husband leaving for work and her MIL coming in to help. She should have fried for this especially when she chased the oldest one around the house.

There is a reason why the state didn’t charge her for all of the murders.

she was actually in psychosis and as I understand it, they released her from the hospital against the wishes of her then husband....anyone getting HALDOL is not right in the mind.....this was truely an evil event, and I believe Satan works thru our human sicknesses, our perversions, our mental diseases, our addictions to do his evil work...

We followed this case when it happened how could Houston folks avoid it! I have trouble imagining that she could ever live outside an institution but the one to blame or at least share the blame is her former husband.

His treatment of this woman was absolutely horrible and he needs to be behind bars for abuse for life. He is a MONSTER!
