I read the whole story and my opinion has not changed other to say to you that I believe the diagnosis of mental illness is way too over prescribed.

Don't get me wrong, I believe that some folks do suffer from these illnesses, but in this day and age, (the past 30 years, perhaps), too many criminals have been getting off on legal technicalities because of their so-called mental illness; sorry, FRiend, but murder is murder, it's the taking of another human life, and regardless of the reason, the guilty need to be held accountable and be punished accordingly.

I don't want to kill anyone, I just want justice served.

I once mentioned that mental illness, being in a category different from usual cases of murder, usually end up acquitted. I stated on a thread about Jared Loughner (Tucson shooter) that insanity should be punished in an entirely different way, not used as an excuse to let someone off of the hook.

Well, golly, then lets go back 70 years and just kill mentally ill people..cause that is where this line of thinking goes. And eye for an eye...right?

you are wrong, that the insanity defence is NOT easy to get off on...and the statistics prove that. the person is still held accountable. this woman WAs punished.

You want justice served? ha. She will live with this for the rest of her life...now that she is not psychotic and can see what she did.
