Bachmanns newly installed political team has had its own battles with message discipline typified by campaign manager Ed Rollins recent comments alleging that former Alaska governor Sarah Palin hasnt been serious over the last few years.
After the incident, Bachmann was very firm with Rollins, according to an adviser to the congresswoman, telling him this should not happen again and that there should be no more press. Bachmann also demanded that Rollins call the Palin people and apologize. She is definitely not tone deaf, the source added.
Bachmanns move to limit her exposure in the wake of her debate performance is a smart strategy designed to avoid accidentally trampling on the momentum she built with that performance.

Such is Palins conservative cachet among the base, I think, that not even Michele Bachmann would feel completely safe from charges of RINO-ism if she had let Rollinss attack slide. Already Ive seen her dismissed by a few people in the comments here and elsewhere as some sort of stalking horse for Romney whose mission is to clear his way to the nomination by siphoning off votes from Pawlenty and Palin

Why she should anyone apologize because Bachmann has no executive experience? She doesn't.
Jealous woman Alert!!!! Lol!
Palin was ASKED what are the differences between her and Bachmann! Should she have said none?
Source?
Independent verification?
Anything from the Palin camp on this?
Or, is it merely spin to feed into the blogosphere in an attempt to slow down the issue?
I think Bachmann has much more character than that, although her hiring Rollins is a real head scratcher.
Ms. Michele Bachmann-Romney KNEW she did wrong,
but has refused to correct it publicly.
THAT is a coverup.
Bad RINO..... NO SALE.
The problem here is that the RINO she allegedly struck down is her RINO, one she is paying and taking advice from.
You do know that it is not a requirement for running for President. I also do not see Palin as being able to decide if she actually wants to run.
I call that unserious. A person should know by now what they intend to do on a decision this big.
Hey, you like Palin, I like Bachmann. We are at an impasse.
One may win, both may lose. Time will tell.
Or are too stupid to realize just who Rollins is and that he even works for Bachmann.
We should know better than to play these stupid games by now.
I am not going to say this is BS, but it does not “quite” pass the smell test.
If Sarah confirms the Rollin apology, I’ll feel a bit better, but the apology should have been public and Bachmann should have canned him immediately afterwards.
Just hiring Rollins remains a warning sign in my book. If she’s that tone deaf...
An apology within 24 hours of the incident would have been accepted by ME, at least. But now? Now, when IF it’s true, it is only being done because MB now sees it has hurt her with potential voters.....and NOT because MB has an iota of decency, or gratitude for Sarah’s campaigning for HER? I say STUFF your apology where the sun doesn’t shine!
Well, we know that she hired Rollins for a top position.
And we know that Rollins attacked Palin.
And we know that there were no public apologies.
So the only thing we don’t know is whether this WaPo stroty is true, and if it is true, when it took place.
So far, this news story is the only apology on offer.
So they give this story to the Post—a couple of weeks after the Rollins incident—at the same time they have Bachmann rebuke Romney over abortion. This after repeatedly refusing to criticize Romney for Romneycare and otherwise too transparently aiding the “Romney in a Walk by Splitting the Palin Vote” campaign.
The question is, how many people will fall for it?
Yuck..what a terrible mental image!
Bachmann probably got my email, which can be paraphrased as “What are you, a f$%@ing idiot?”
And I’m not even that gung-ho for Palin.
Misrepresenting the facts again, I see...Sarah was asked by a reporter for difference between herself and MB. She politely said "executive experience," unlike Rollins who drove MB's dagger in deep.
Nobody in this thread has PDS. The Bachmann supporters on here have said nothing ill-will of Sarah Palin. As for some of her unrational supporters that have been bent on destroying anyone seen as in the way of her coronation, well that’s a different story.
Bachmann Derangement Syndrome, though, is alive and well. Next thing you know, we’ll be reading about how she’s actually having an affair with Romney and is in cahoots to become his second wife once polygamy becomes legal under the Romney Administration. I can see those cold-calls going out in IA/SC even as we speak. /sarc
