I am not at all familiar with Milbank, but I am very familiar with Beck, having listened to him and watched him quite a lot over the last several years. I have never heard him say or imply anything that is the least bit anti-Semitic or anti-Semitic couched in terms of being “anti-Zionist” or “anti-Israel” or “against Israel’s governmental policies” (semantic tricks of true anti-Semites). Note that I am more attuned to this issue than most people out there, since I am Jewish and since one of my brothers lives in Israel with his family.
Beck is the antithesis of an anti-Semite, and Milbank is either wholly ignorant of what Beck has said or wilfully ignorant - i.e. ideologically driven. Given the background of the Washington Compost and most of its shills/reporters (I AM familiar with that bunch of birdcage liner), I have little doubt that Milbank is a Leftist ideolog. However, I will give Milbank the benefit of the doubt, and allow for pure stupidity to be the reason for this article.
Let me remove any doubt. He is.
I, too, am Jewish, have watched a lot of Beck on both CNN and FOX, and find it difficult to believe that Milbank knows much about him. OTOH maybe he does and is just spinning to advance his agenda.
Beck is anti-Soros and Soros is a Jew, so therefore Beck must be antisemitic.

When Lieberman was on the show, Glenn introduced him as someone he disagrees with on a vast majority of issues but he wasn’t going to turn him away on the one issue they do agree on.
I am a religiously observant Jew and have listened to Glen Beck on the radio and watched his television show on many occasions. I have nothing but respect and admiration for him and have never seen the slightest shadow anything to indicate that he is even in the least bit anti-semitic. Glen Beck is a great man.
