Actually you cannot “dump” Under God from the pledge, if you leave the phrase out, it no longer is the pledge.
They also left out the word INDIVISIBLE! So, maybe while they are showing their anti-Christian bias, they are promoting secession?
I'm composing a message to them now.
One nation - that doesn’t need NBC.

Here's what I wrote:
The Pledge of Allegiance was written in 1892 by Francis Bellamy, who was a Baptist minister and a Christian. It was amended in 1954 to include the words, "one nation under God". I find it completely unacceptable for NBC to have omitted these words from the Pledge and in doing so offending Christians around the country, myself included. I find it even more unacceptable that your weak apology precluded the word "God" as well.
I have been an avid viewer of NBC broadcasts for most of my 53 years. But I refuse to support any network that willfully disparages Christians across this nation as NBC has done. Moreover, I am and have always been willing to contact sponsors notifying them that I will no longer purchase the products and/or services of any company who advertizes on such a network.
I am recording the US Open as I have always done. I will use my recording to make sure I do not miss a single NBC sponsor in my effort. Additionally, I will be writing letters to many newspapers in the Southern California area. With circulations in the millions, this will ensure your offensive actions will be known to more than just those who watched the Open.
Good luck selling your anti-God campaign to the scant few Americans who agree with your position that the Pledge should not include the word God. You have alienated me and many millions of Americans forever.
Sincerely,
South40
If everyone stopped watching TV, especially sports, the job of taking our country back would be about 10,000 times easier than it is right now.

The hell that was a mistake.
You couldn’t edit that and not miss “Under God”.
That was deliberate and childish.
Everyone:
I use to work for Brian Roberts and he is a good many.
However, he does run a multi billion dollar organization with many moving parts.
Please do not put this on him but, rather make him aware of this offense.
He is a completely good man and would not have approved this slight of our Pledge of Allegiance.

NO one actually believes any of the language of the pledge anyway, what difference does it make that they leave out the language.
The next step is for someone to introduce a new pledge of allegiance to the world-wide hive and the one-ness and fulfillment of being a drone.

“Under God” is not in NBC’s vocabulary, but unfortunately, “Allah Akbar” most certainly is. They needn’t apologize-it’s what they are.
