NBC golf commentators just apologized for a big oops that has people fired up all over the Internet.
In a patriotic, rah-rah-America video that opened NBC's coverage Sunday of the U.S. Open Golf Championship, the reading of the Pledge of Allegiance by a group of children in a classroom setting ommitted the phrase "under God."
This was the abbreviated version: "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation, with liberty and justice for all."
The kids can actually be heard reciting the pledge twice; the second version leaves out "under God" and "one nation," too.
Immediately, viewers cried foul, taking to Twitter and comment boards, calling NBC "scumbugs" and pledging to boycott the network.
Later, NBC commentators apologized to viewers who had been offended.

The hell that was a mistake.
You couldn’t edit that and not miss “Under God”.
That was deliberate and childish.
Never forget that they HATE us—the conservative, the religious, the patriotic, the free. People like us stand in their way of whatever control they want to have for themselves over their fellow man.
We are in a culture war. They just went on an offensive. This is direct action on their part. It was VERY deliberate.
They think they are right, and the rest of us who want UNDER GOD left in the Pledge of Allegiance are just a bunch of stupid, right-wing, racist hicks and rednecks.
They're high-fiving in the control room.
Everyone:
I use to work for Brian Roberts and he is a good many.
However, he does run a multi billion dollar organization with many moving parts.
Please do not put this on him but, rather make him aware of this offense.
He is a completely good man and would not have approved this slight of our Pledge of Allegiance.
Vendome
I use to work for Brian and I assure he would never approve of this idiocy.
That is good. But he still needs to hear about it from as many as possible so he will know it is not just a few who are offended.
Absolutely.
I sent an email as well.
NO one actually believes any of the language of the pledge anyway, what difference does it make that they leave out the language.
The next step is for someone to introduce a new pledge of allegiance to the world-wide hive and the one-ness and fulfillment of being a drone.

No need to urinate on the forum.
Perhaps they reverted to the original language.
“Under God” is not in NBC’s vocabulary, but unfortunately, “Allah Akbar” most certainly is. They needn’t apologize-it’s what they are.
NBC being NBC
"Boys and girls, I have been listening to you recite the Pledge of Allegiance all semester and it appears that it has become monotonous to you or could it be you do not know the meaning of those words. If I may, I would like to recite the Pledge and give to you a definition of the words.I----meaning me, an individual, a committee of one.
Pledge----dedicate all of my worldly goods to give without self pity.
Allegiance----my love and my devotion.
To the Flag----our standard, Old Glory, a symbol of freedom. Wherever she waves, there is respect because your loyalty has given her a dignity that shouts freedom is everybody's job.
Of the United----that means that we have all come together.
States----individual communities that have united into 48 great states. 48 individual communities with pride and dignity and purpose, all divided with imaginary boundaries, yet united to a common cause, and that's love of country.
Of America.
And to the Republic----a republic, a state in which sovereign power is invested in representatives chosen by the people to govern. And government is the people and it's from the people to the leaders, not from the leaders to the people.
For which it stands!
One nation----meaning, so blessed by God.
Indivisible----incapable of being divided.
With Liberty----which is freedom and the right of power to live one's life without threats or fear or any sort of retaliation.
And justice----The principle and quality of dealing fairly with others.
For all.----which means, boys and girls, it's as much your country as it is mine."Since I was a small boy, two states have been added to our nation, and two words have been added to the Pledge of Allegiance "under God." Wouldn't it be a pity if someone said, "That's a prayer" and that would be eliminated from schools, too?
Excellent!
I didn't see the Open. Can you please let me know who some of the sponsors were so that I can contact them?
Thanks!
The thug in chief makes us more divisive every day.
