Red China is a sworn enemy of the US
Red China enjoys Most Favored Nation trade status and buys a whole lot of our bonds. Not exactly a "sworn enemy". Not at least, since Nixon and ping-pong.
Clearly Red China is a problem and dangerous. So too are Saudi Arabia and Egypt. It wasn't Chinese that attacked our embassies, ships and interests around the world, not was it Chinese attackers on 9/11. Bin Laden was found in the heart of Pakistan though!
