That’ll teach those Reaganite warmongers a lesson, huh? If we had just had paleoPaulie in the White House with his treasonous lips on autosmooch for Islamofascist backsides, we could probably, for now, have Galveston as a non-Sharia territory but they need to teach the Koran to the kids along with Arabic and Chinese so that they will be able to avoid death camps in the paleosurrenderman’s public policy wake a couple of years later.

You have a big Karl Rove quote.

I get it. You’re a RINO who hates Conservatives.

I was a Reaqan state chairman against Ford but I would not vote for surrenderman on a bet. Ron Paul is no conservative. He is a libertarian whacko, anti-war, pro-drug, anti-American, earmark pork lusting, pro-homosexual and pro-abortion (by doing NOTHING).

So.... you don’t like the fact he would or try to gut the federal government like a fish?..

If he went too far reducing the federal government its only a four year election... after that there seems to be literally NO PROBLEM with increasing the size and scope of the federal government.. with a new RINO in charge..

[ As Commander in Chief, El Run would order the military personnel to stand down, turn in their weapons, form a circle around the old campfire, break out the Smores and marshmallows and spend the rest of their lives singing Kumbaya and love songs to our enemies.]

Lay off the dumberol... you’ve overdosed..

If Ron Paul ever does horn his way into the Tea Party, that’s when I’m out and I start looking for a conservative group support.

It is a joke and an embarrassment that he is even recognized along with serious respectable viable candidates.

Have you read some of his newsletters? For many years his name endorsed some real trash.

I oppose several of the candidates on the GOP possible list right now but will hold my nose to vote for any who oppose Obama - except for Paul. I would NOT vote for that kook under any circumstances. Not that he has any chance.

Ron Paul was called by FOX NEWS “Godfather of the Tea Party”.

You just aren’t paying attention.

He most clearly is a tea party leader and has been from the beginning. So was Palin, also Bachmann.

Have you identified who you support? Or could you be a Democrat who is scared that Ron Paul might cut parts of the Federal Government that you like?

You Like Romney???

I get that there are a lot of people who benefit from a Big Federal Government. And you know that Ron Paul would make the Federal Government much smaller. There are a lot of people who make a lot of money from the Goverment, and really really want to keep getting Taxpayer Money for all sorts of things. Some are Republicans.

Ron Paul - “I have never voted for an earmark. I voted against all appropriation bills.”

“An earmark is a congressional provision that directs federal agencies to spend funds already authorized on specific projects.
If the funds aren’t earmarked, the agencies can spend the money any way they see fit.
That is, the executive branch, rather than Congress, will determine how the taxpayer’s money is spent.”

http://www.ronpaul.com/2009-03-11/ron-paul-on-earmarks/
“What is done is those earmarks are removed and some of them are very wasteful and unnecessary,
but that money then goes to the executive branch.”

“We’re supposed to tell the people how we’re spending the money.
Not to just deliver it in the lump sum to the executive branch and let them deal with it.”

RP’s people are like homosexuals--a very small yet very energetic minority who agitate so hard and so loud it is difficult not to see them as a majority.

Oh I disagree on that.

Both are annoying.

But it’s not that hard to see RPS and gays as the majority.

I’m a RPS, and we are what we are, I’d say “more conservative than Romney”, and then, “better than Obama”. I understand that some conservatitves might not agree with everything, but they also recognize how much worse Mitt Romney would be.

No doubt that RPSAA though, and some RPS are aware of this, and we’re hoping that we can cut way down on RPSAA.

Why don’t you just pick out one.

I suspect you know little of what you’re talking about.

Ron Paul does not vote for spending. He merely specifies where the money goes.

Earmarks are about who decides where the money is spent. Some would like Obama to make those decisions. Ron Paul believes that it’s Congress.

Do you have an actual argument? Or do you just hope that if you say “earmarks” enough, you won’t have to understand that Ron Paul Does Not Vote For Spending.

Paul, who unsuccessfully sought the Republican presidential nomination this year, told supporters at the National Press Club in Washington that he is not endorsing GOP nominee Sen. John McCain or Democratic nominee Sen. Barack Obama.

Instead, Paul will give his seal of approval to four candidates: Green Party nominee Cynthia McKinney, Libertarian Party nominee Bob Barr, independent candidate Ralph Nader and Constitution Party candidate Chuck Baldwin.

Nope. I like Palin as well. Also Bachmann. I think that the most likely scenario is a Palin romp, actually.

You didn’t answer my question. I must’ve nailed you. You are for Obamney.

Good job here, truthfreedom. You've held your own very well against quite a few stupid posters. Not all who have expressed opinions contrary to your opinions are stupid, but, by far, the majority are.

I've maintained before, and this thread is a good example, that a lot of people here are actually scared to death of freedom. Whatever else you can say about Ron Paul, he is always in the corner for freedom of the individual.

Few here ever speak against the reality of what he stands for. They simply call him names, the way liberals do when they speak about Rush and Sarah. They are not intelligent enough to have an actual conversation about the issues and policies that Paul supports.

Paul is by far the one who most wants to follow the constitution. All his positions revolve around that. He speaks what is truth to him simply and with integrity. He deserves respect. That is too tall an order for many freepers.

Whether or not Paul can win is really not important at this point, and as was proven last time, anybody can win. It certainly does not hurt the conservative cause for Paul to speak. There is no reason to shout him down at this point unless you are afraid someone might win who would actually govern from the constitution.

As I've said before, Sarah is my pick, all the way. But I think all this disrespect for Paul is a beacon of ignorance.

That’s actually not how it worked. For one thing, the campaign has been insisting that there was no bussing in of people. One bus came from Jackson County, MS, that was an official GOP bus, but it’s possible some RP supporters were on it.

Here’s the thing that you’re missing. Ron Paul supporters are very enthusiastic right now. They’re spending their own money to get there, and sometimes, if they’re poor, they have “chip-ins” where other supporters pay expenses of the poorer people who plan to go.

Ron Paul Forums is about as big as Free Republic. And theres also Daily Paul. There are just a lot of hard core supporters. The campaign wasn’t talking up this straw poll, the campaign did nothing to hype it. But the grassroots (which is what Ron Paul Supporters call themselves when they’re disobeying the campaign), or part of it, was enthused about this straw poll. 600 pushed to the straw poll from Ron Paul Forums and the other Ron Paul sites just isn’t surprising to me.

What’s surprising is that other candidates don’t have anything like this level of organization.

Free Republic is almost entirely 100% Palin. Free Republic should step up and help Palin. The last time Ron Paul won a poll I said the same thing.

I said, Free Republic has done some mighty things in the past, and should do mighty things again. Jim Rob most certainly likes Palin, and wouldn’t 600 more Palin votes be something that Free Republic could pull off? I’d like to see something like that on FR, and for Palin.
