NEW ORLEANS — Representative Michele Bachmann of Minnesota, the latest candidate to join the Republican presidential campaign, suggested Friday that President Obama secretly wanted Medicare to go bankrupt so retirees would be forced to enroll in the new national health care law.
“This hasn’t been talked about very much – the president’s plan for senior citizens is Obamacare,” Ms. Bachmann told party activists here. She added, “I think very likely what the president intends is that Medicare will go broke and ultimately that answer will be Obamacare for senior citizens.”
In a speech to the Republican Leadership Conference, Ms. Bachmann recounted how she attended a closed-door meeting at the White House and said the president was asked three times to produce his plan to address the financial burdens facing the Medicare program. She said the president’s “gift to senior citizens is to steal from them $500 billion out of Medicare.”
The anecdote, which Ms. Bachmann did not explain in detail or offer additional corroboration, was the latest example of a red-meat, crowd-pleasing declaration that has become a theme of her political rise – whether or not the statements withstand scrutiny. She drew enthusiastic applause as she pledged that her top priority – should she reach the White House – would be repealing the health care law.

She is Half right,seniors can keep their own health care as Obama says ,IF THEY CAN AFFORD IT,which they wont be able to,because of the Massive increases in Premiums due to all the Mandated Tests that Obamacare will require,then the seniors will have no Choice ,just like everyone else. Michelle you dont have to be so dramatic looking for conspiracies its right there in front of all our eyes,just show the videos of Obama saying it in his own speeches,he said we cant get to single payer all at once,it will happen in incremental steps as we are seeing now

—Well, she said it in a speech, but yeah- I completely agree that showing the videos of Obama admitting that a single payer plan is the endgame is a great idea. Plus, there’s the 500B in future cuts to Medicare to help fund Obamacare.

This was a big news item about two years ago. Obama gutted something called the Medicare Advantage plan , by taking 500,000 billion out of it, and putting it into some kind of Obamacare slush fund. As I remember, part of the motive was political payoff intended to force people to switch over to an inferior AARP sponsored plan.
Exactly.
Then you have Medicare’s own trustees stating that Medicare will be bankrupt soon under the current rate. And where’s Obama’s plan to address this problem?
And what else is anybody supposed to think if Medicare goes bankrupt, and Obamacare is all that we are left with?

Our leaders have all ready taken care of themselves. They know they will not be “blessed” with Obamacare. Even if there are no doctors left in the U.S. year the politicians can always jet set in taxpayer funded congressional 737’s for treatment in Canada and Europe.
The rest of us will muddle through, and once all the lawyers are dead from starvation, doctors will reappear. You’ll walk into an office and see doctors smiling again, with no medicare accountability forms to fill out. There will be a beautiful nurse with a big ass taking temperatures and giving candy to the kids and doing all the typing. That’s the way it was once upon a time. I was there.
