One problem I've not seen mentioned anywhere that I bet is influencing distribution of this is Bannon's distribution deal. He's going to be taking it to "select" AMC movie theaters. Well, not everyplace has AMC theaters. Iowa, where he was going to premiere it, has according to AMC's website precisely two. In Council Bluffs and Dubuque. So much for me seeing it in the nearby movieplex in Davenport.

He still hasn't announced where that "premiere" will be in Iowa and is now talking about having it in some unconventional location to get a better Iowa feel. I.e. NOT in a movie theater. I suspect either the two Iowa AMC theaters turned him down or he didn't want either. Dubuque is liberal, Council Bluffs I'd thought less so, but come to think they elected the chief Rat barricading the State Senate, so it may be local Palin haters blocking this. Or the Hollywood film distribution network may be blacklisting it. DON'T, alas, expect a typical 1000 screen movie rollout. Adjust your expectations of its impact accordingly.
