According to El Nuevo Heraldo, Heriberto El Lazca Lazcano Lazcano was killed at approximately 2 p.m. local time June 17 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas state, on Avenida del Nino at the intersection with Lauro Villar. It was reported that the top leader of Los Zetas was killed during a running gunbattle involving Gulf cartel forces.
A separate report by El Universal citing Mexican military sources indicated that three were killed and nine were injured in a firefight involving Mexican soldiers and marines against members of Los Zetas and the Gulf cartel near the Tomates international bridge in Matamoros. Mexican military sources denied that Lazcano Lazcano was killed.
That the firefight happened in Matamoros, a Gulf cartel stronghold, raises significant doubts about the reports of Lazcano Lazcanos death. If he’s not dead I say cool!
Stick it to Mexico and make them clean up their Shiite.

El Lazca
Earlier today...the publication El Nuevo Herald, said his sources had confirmed that shortly after 14:00 pm today, there was a clash between members of the Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas, this in the city of Matamoros, Tamaulipas .
He also noted that in that shootout, was killed Heriberto Lazcano, known as El Lazca, who is the supreme leader of the Zetas, but the authorities have not confirmed the release.
Although the situation is shown in the tense city of Matamoros, and information has been highly restricted to any media. In this conflict at least 15 gunmen were killed, ....According to the publication, Lazca was killed on the Avenue of the Child and Lauro Villar
From the Brownsville Monitor:
But a U.S. federal law enforcement official unauthorized to speak publicly confirmed a separate motorized army regiment based elsewhere backed up the Zetas.
(have I forgotten anything?)
This gunbattle was ONE MILE south of the Rio Grande and Brwonsville TEXAS. You can walk accross the Rio Grande at that oint, and you might not even get your feet wet.
Bullets from Mexico, where guns are highly restricted, often fly across the river into Texas. We need to start shooting back, since guns are not highly restricted in Texas and ammunition is plentiful.
“where guns are highly restricted”
Well......just not to the criminals......thanks to operation Gunwalker.
Thanks fight_truth_decay. Since the continuous history of Mexico’s constitution(s)al government has been, “how much can I skim?”, it’s highly unlikely that the drug empires can be killed off faster than they can recruit from what passes for law enforcement and civil authority.
Build the border fence, and toss some meat over the wall once in a while.
I love the way you think.
