I've said this multiple times before, in the last 40 years a presidential nominee has not chosen his VP from the existing field of presidential nominee leftovers.
They just don't.
Why do we continue to perpetuate this logic?

Well gee I am getting along in years but I do remember Ronald Reagan chose or was forced to choosey, persons unknown, the honorable George Herbert Walker Bush as his running mate. You know the one that called Reagan’s economic policies “Voodoo Economics”
