COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — For the first time in its 96-year history, a female general is taking charge at the famed Marine Corps training depot at South Carolina's Parris Island.
Brig. Gen. Loretta Reynolds, who is also known as the first female Marine to ever hold a command position in a battle zone, takes charge Friday at the installation south of Beaufort.

I only had one "self defense" instructor that was a female yap about grappling. It was pathetic. Closed, latched on, went to the deck and I would have killed her with a rifle, pistol, knife, pencil, toothpicks and bare hands.
God forbid if I ever had a choice between a guy and a girl out in the boonies with a good hump out to a fight, I'll give you the "strong girl". Or female or gender correct Army/Marine/Chair Force or Navy squid.... I'll take a Marine that takes a leak standing up and can carry a full pack without gender norming.
What a crock. This was ALL about sticking it to the Corps for their stance on homosexuals in the services.
She came up supply... so I'm sure that she knows how to fight.... other paper pushers. Her units will at least look the best, cause we know that's the most important thing in a fighting force.

You sir, have nailed the issue. The public is so manipulated by political correctness it is impossible to for some, if not all progs/libs to decipher the truth.
I once dated a female cop—she was about my height, 5’9” or so and she was talking about her ability to restrain difficult perps. I said really, you think you could restrain me and she arrogantly, posited, not a problem. I allowed her the advantage position and within about 5 seconds had her pinned to the ground. She was helpless and easily overcome. Decisions based on political correctness are just that; pure bullshit politics. It is not based in truth and facts. Politics has become a disease that infects every decision, discounting and ignoring the facts, science, and common sense.
3 mile run- 18 minutes for a man, 21 minutes for a female. Cause you know that in combat 3 minutes isn't really important.
The old PFT test had 30 pull up-palms out, 60 push ups-not on your knees, 100 sit ups in 2 minutes, broad jump and 300 yard shuttle run.
The armed forces are becoming the TSA of the defense department. We'll see how this all works out if we get froggy with the Chinese. Nothing like a good war to get rid of the weak sisters. Unfortunately good men and unprepared women are going to get killed till this corrects itself.
