Prosecutors said the Earth Liberation Front aimed the attack at the office of a professor who the group mistakenly believed was genetically engineering trees.
Well, what she believed should count for something, shouldn't it?

And I believe she should be locked away for many, many years. And that should count for something.

When I used to write on land use issues, I often used the term ‘terrorist’ regarding scum like this and often got hell for it by those not paying closer attention. “Oh they’re harmless, they’re just old hippies and college kids.”

Apparently not.

Glad to see that finally our courts are taking the threat of eco-terrorism more seriously than they used to.
