Bachmann may also be plagued by her involvement in a controversial pardon. In 2007, Bachmann wrote a letter requesting a presidential pardon for a convicted drug-smuggler and money-launderer named Frank Vennes. Vennes was convicted of money laundering in 1988 and pleaded no contest to a cocaine and weapons charge. Making matters worse, he and his wife donated a total of $27,600 to Bachmanns 2006 and 2008 election.
Actually, if it's down to Romney, it's Obama in a walk!! The two are negatives of each other.
As for Ms. Bachmann, I'm not so sure. She's smart and has been a leading mouthpiece of the Tea Party over the past year or two. IMO, the jury's still out on her but, FWIW, if the DBM has already begun their smear campaign against her, she has a real shot among conservatives. A really interesting ticket would be Palin/Bachmann. The left will explode and conservatives could likely be in heaven!
We have a long way to go to the election and lots of things will happen. We don't even know who will end up surviving the primaries, but I'm not putting my money on Romney. He already has some negatives and they aren't going to get any better.
Bachmann adds nothing to a Palin ticket and with zero executive experience in or out of government and an incredibly meager record for getting legislation passed as a 3-term congresscritter and never having been vetted at the national level before (do you want to bet that none of her 23 ex-foster children could be bought off by the Dems?), she really isn’t a legitimate presidential candidate on her own.
She does have the RINO Establishment propping her up as a stalking horse to try to take out Palin, however.
As opposed to the vast experience that Bammy had when he was elected POTUS!!???
Perhaps that would explain why I put her second on the ticket under Palin. She can learn from the best.
Ha—Bammy at least was a senator and he’d had less time in office not to get any legislation passed!
